In Jesus Mighty Name, I come to Your Throne of Mercy to rejoice in You and to thank You for your all Your Love, Light and Understanding.

I present to You my family, starting with my husband/wife __________, let Your Love shine in our marriage, make me a better husband/wife, a better companion, and a better partner. Help me, Dear Lord, to always do my part, to be a better provider, a better protector and a better comforter.

I also present to you my children: ___________________, help me, Dear Lord, to love no matter what happens, to never to despise nor belittle them. Make me an instrument of Your patient Understanding, Your Affection and Your Care, so that I can listen to what they have to say and to kindly understand all their curious questions.

Make me realize that they have problems and that they are not a problem or a burden no matter what they do or say. Make me proud of them and regard and treat them as precious as well as a precious gift from You, and that Jesus died for them as much as for me. Give me the courage and foresight to confess any wrongdoing against them, and to ask for their forgiveness when I know that I have done wrong.

In Your Infinite Mercy and Providence, forbid that I should mock their mistakes, or resort to shame, meanness and ridicule for punishment, be it for my selfish satisfaction, stubbornness, intransigence and inflexibility or for any ulterior motives.

Blind me, Dear Lord, to the little and unintentional errors of my children and open my eyes to see and honestly and proudly praise the good things they do. Help me not to exact of them a wager greater than their ability and not to rob them of the opportunity to wait upon You and themselves in thinking, choosing or making their own decisions.

Help me grant them their reasonable wishes by having the courage to withhold a privilege that I know will do them harm. Enlighten me to always strive to properly advise them, to lovingly correct them and to infinitely love them.

Make me, Dear Lord, so fair and just, so considerate and compassionate to my children that they will have genuine esteem for me. Make me fit to be loved and imitated by my children in my devotion and reliance on You.

Dear Beloved Father, with Your Holy Spirit Guidance and Your Grace, do give me calm, poise and self-control, I pray in Jesus Mighty Name in the union Of the Holy Spirit.
