So if we choose to believe everything that exist in this universe is created by the Almighty Fiat, in accordance with the revelations implied in the dogma, as faithful theists, we do not seek proof, but as non-believers, no argument or proof is sufficient.
In defiance, the rank and file of prominent world scientists share unanimously with the theists the eternally held belief of the existence of the Creator and His story of Creation, boldly admit and profess that trust and faith in God and Creation still persists, in addition to the other half of this world population, who subscribe to an incarnation theory, not cognizant of our Almighty God, strongly believe in a persona, a creator and caretaker of this world, judiciously and discerningly reject the notion of a cosmic bang that transformed a Homo-Erectus to an evolved Homo-Sapiens.
Suspended in time and space and faced with the mystically, cryptically, enigmatically created universe, our faith is patched together in a quilt of trust in the Word of God and His Ordinances, as we are anchored in those mysteries and wonders of His Creation. The defects, deficiencies and insufficiencies of tangible proofs about God and Creation contrasted by the successes in the technological domain and the failures in the religious, political, social, economical as well as humanistic relations, do not negate the truth, as no scientific discovery, findings or proof of otherwise have held any water to any claims, theories or applications.
Faith in God and His Creation story are neither in collision course with proven scientific thinking, findings and virtual reality, nor science is out to debunk the hyperbole of sound spirituality and faith, on the contrary, only faith in God can reconcile science with the universal laws of nature through honest unarbitrary findings. Faith is in the Truth and science is that Truth in action. The hypothesis of the Darwins of this world can only produce a temporary sacred cow, good for a season, though shielded from slaughter, it will, sooner or later, die on its own; nonetheless, in its shortly lived hiatus, it presents challenges to the faithful while acquiescing the skeptics, who now have a reasoned basis to concur with and who are adamant to believe a lie.
It is said that the famous French poet Voltaire violently dismissed the idea of God existence, and argued against it openly with all his power, might and intellect, yet on his death bed, witnesses stated that he looked with disappointment towards heaven and shouted : “You win “. Even Einstein, who struggled with this universe, and how this universe was beautifully and wonderfully crafted in such a diverse, intricate and minute details and course, had to finally admit that there must be a “creator”, who crafted this world. I wonder what were Darwin’s last words?
If our belief is based on ignorance and complacency, in abstract cosmic power or force, in knowing of or about, and we do not intimately know the Person, whom we claim to believe in, what good is our belief devoid of faith. Faith is to believe in a transcendent personal God, through personal relationship and fellowship with the unseen yet heartfelt Creator. St. Thomas Aquinas, in defining natural law, appropriately said that it is the “participation of Human Reason in the Divine Reason”, through which we are enabled to proclaim the mystery of faith in the Creator as belief in the present is faith in the future, as with faith the invisible becomes distinctly visible and the unsensed becomes mightily perceived. Evolution theories are found only in elysian fields and utopia.
Through the Almighty Fiat, man was created Homo Liber, “Freewill Man”, with superior yet limited intellect and knowledge, with an independent and discerning will, together with an inventive, creative and cognitive mind, but man’s first course of action was to revolt, to disobey and to attempt to equal himself to His Creator.
Reality rivals fantasy and Hebrews 11: 1& 6 summed it best “ Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen... for he that comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him”.
